My band just got a $1,500 grant.
We didn’t apply for any grants.
It is not a scam.

I just got a phone call:

Some guy: I’m currently aboard the J-train and there’s something written here that says, “let’s make out” with your number on it. Hahaha *click*
WE ARE NOT AMUSED.
Especially because I’m expecting a call about a job and I was all excited to answer the phone.
Oh come on. You have that admit that was pretty damn funny.
It might be except that I’m...

All of the girls in my department were just pulled into an impromptu meeting with one of the managers and were told that there’s a new informal addendum to the dress code: “If you wouldn’t wear it without leggings, don’t wear it with leggings.”
I, on the other hand, will continue to wear it without leggings until I’m instructed otherwise.

Exciting Times
So there was an earthquake just a few minutes ago. It was pretty big, I guess, but this is California, so it’s not really a huge deal.
My cubicle-neighbor is now listening to the news at her desk so she can hear this:
“There was a earthquake a few minutes ago.
We felt a sharp jolt, then a softer jolt, then a rolling.
It was a 4.1, epicenter near Milpitas.”
Over and over and...

Highlights of a Wednesday
A few of my favorite people said some great things to me today, so I am going to share them with you. Any one of them on their own would have made my day:
1. Your work is top-notch.
2. Joe Pulitzer wants a print of your artwork.
3. I’m glad I know you.
4. I wanna make you my wife someday.

Album-A-Day: Update
Hey guys, so remember a while back when I was all like OMG, I’m making an entire album in 24 hours with hryx, and it was all I could talk about for like THREE ENTIRE POSTS in a row?
No? Oh, alright.

So there’s this album, and I made it with this guy who goes by hryx, and we conceived, wrote, and produced 8 songs in fewer than 24 hours for this Album-a-day project.
It’s...

The Quest for World Domination Begins With a...
Corpus Callosum’s Pacific Northwest Kwanzaa Quest was a HUGE success. In addition to playing sold-out stadium shows, making millions of dollars, and sleeping with many beautiful womens, we:
Angered a (probably rabid) praying mantis
Sang Christmas songs with Jason Webley
Used our weather-controlling bass drum to melt the snow in Portland
Slew a terrible band of Dragons and then gave their...

It’s so nice to wake up in the morning all alone and not have to tell somebody you love them when you don’t love them any more.
